Our Work in the New Forest

The New Forest is an internationally important area of heathland and forest in southern England, and one in which we have had the privilege of working as Architects for the past 30 years. A highly sensitive location, we are always deeply considerate of the impact that our architectural interventions have on this beautiful landscape.

Because of the delicate nature of the New Forest, planning policy is understandably more restrictive than in other areas, and greater demands in terms of supplementary documentation are made. We have extensive experience of working through the requirements of the New Forest National Park Authority, and proven track record of gaining planning permission in the National Park.

We have undertaken a wide variety of projects in the New Forest. We have designed new build houses, such as Hillside Farm and Little Dockens; the latter deep in the heart of the landscape. We have tackled social projects, such as Poulner Baptist Church which won an NFNPA Building Design Award, supporting the wider community of the New Forest. We have overseen commercial projects, such as Meadens Skoda in Brockenhurst, helping to ensure that the New Forest is a great place to work as well as live. And we have extended a huge number of homes, such as Chadwicks and Foxes Field, helping to ensure that the historic housing stock of the area will last the test of time.

All the projects shown on this page are within the New Forest National Park, and we are proud to have been involved with the enhancement of its built environment, so that the architecture of the area reinforces this beautiful landscape.
