This commercial car showroom renovation in Brockenhurst showcases how thoughtful architectural design can transform an existing industrial structure into a modern, high-performing dealership space. DUA Architecture worked with Meadens Škoda to extend, modernise, and upgrade their newly acquired premises in the heart of the New Forest, relocating their dealership from nearby Sway.
The project involved the transformation of a large portal frame building, redesigned to include an extended, light-filled car showroom at the front and a functional workshop at the rear. To maximise internal space, a new mezzanine level was introduced to accommodate offices, providing an efficient layout that supports both customer interaction and operational needs.
A highlight of the design is the customer handover bay, which features switchable privacy glass for a dramatic and memorable vehicle reveal. The project also included a comprehensive redesign of the external car park and the addition of green landscaping, enhancing both customer experience and visual appeal.
The result is a state-of-the-art Škoda dealership that reflects the brand’s values of quality and innovation, while integrating seamlessly into the scenic New Forest setting.
