Hillside Farm
Avon Tyrrell, New Forest
You may have read about this house or seen it featured on Grand Designs. The new house replaced a ramshackle older dwelling on a 50 acre farm site in the New Forest.
Our design solution was to adopt the concept of a small group of buildings huddled together on a hillside, forming a composition in the landscape.
Three buildings formed the final solution: a ‘barn’ living space, a smaller ‘stable’ (for a bedroom) and a 3-storey ‘silo’ with
backup spaces; all linked
with fully enclosed
glass bridges.
