Our client on this project had previous experience of building a house, not all of which was good, and having purchased a site with an existing dwelling, was ready to start the process again; this time a little wiser.

Context is crucial in our work. We prioritize orientation, shelter, passive solar energy, and summer shading.

In this instance, design with this focus led to a layout rotated through 45 degrees, which in correspondance with its stepped plan generated

a number of dynamic

internal spaces.
