Designed to replace an ailing cottage located in the heart of Christchurch, this proposed property was sadly refused permission.
The site has numerous challenges: The nearby River Avon frequently bursts its banks. The site is tight, with a number of dwellings closely adjacent. The scale and massing of any proposed building are constrained by the context.
Our contemporary design, which takes material cues from the locality, forms a dwelling that meets these challenges and sits comfortably within
its setting.
