Clays Copse Bungalow

Sway, New Forest

This new dwelling in the New Forest was designed to replace an older property that had fallen into disrepair. Nestled in a tranquil countryside setting, the home is embraced by a beautiful wooded backdrop, with its form carefully shaped to respond to the site and surrounding landscape.

The design incorporates high-quality natural materials, providing both durability and a sensitive connection to the environment. Large south-facing glazing maximizes solar gain during winter, while substantial roof overhangs provide shade in the summer and support a roof-mounted solar panel array, ensuring energy efficiency and sustainability.

This project is a prime example of modern, site-responsive architecture in the New Forest, blending contemporary design with environmental responsibility to create a home that is both elegant and sustainable.
