Avon View in Sway, New Forest is a striking example of imaginative architectural design that blends art, sustainability, and innovation. This contemporary new house in the New Forest was conceived as a “healthy home” - one built with natural materials and engineered for exceptional energy efficiency.
Our client’s detailed brief made it clear that the house should not only perform sustainably but also stand as a work of art in the landscape. The final design is composed of three interrelated architectural forms: a dramatic three-storey rotunda, a spacious open-plan living area, and a two-storey bedroom wing partially embedded into the ground for enhanced insulation and harmony with the surrounding terrain.
