Lymington

DUA Architecture worked with a local authority in Lymington to deliver the renovation and extension of an existing social housing property, improving living standards and enhancing the building’s long-term sustainability.

As part of this local authority housing improvement project, our team assessed the structural soundness of the existing building before overseeing a sensitive yet comprehensive refurbishment. The outdated rear extension was demolished and replaced with a new communal kitchen and modern living areas, providing residents with brighter, more functional, and energy-efficient spaces.

We also reorganised the accommodation layout, creating better flow and comfort for residents while ensuring compliance with contemporary building standards. This social housing renovation project in Lymington demonstrates how careful design and collaboration can transform older housing stock into high-quality, welcoming homes for the community.
