DUA Architecture was commissioned by the Ringwood & District Old Peoples Housing Society to design a new block of six flats in Ringwood, following the success of our earlier project at Mary Mitchell Close. The Christy Close development was created to provide independent living for elderly residents, combining thoughtful design with sustainability and comfort.
Replacing an existing detached dwelling, the new block of flats in Ringwood was designed to meet the standards of the Code for Sustainable Homes (then in force), incorporating measures to enhance energy efficiency and reduce environmental impact. The design ensures accessibility, safety, and community connection - key priorities for the client and future residents alike.
This project builds on our long-standing relationship with the Ringwood & District Old Peoples Housing Society and reinforces our expertise in residential architecture for independent living and sustainable housing design in the New Forest.
