Shorefield Way
Milford on Sea, Hampshire
A replacement dwelling, designed for a local family, to replace a tired bungalow. The challenge in designing a new building for this site was its orientation, with the prime south aspect facing the road.
The solution was to use the bulk of the main building to split the site in two, forming a private and a public side. This allowed living spaces to enjoy the sunny southerly aspect.
A fresh palette of natural materials provide warmth and quality, while solar panels and electric car charging mean the building is efficient and ready to meet the challenges
of the future.
