Highlands

Neacroft, Hampshire

Highlands is a contemporary new house in Neacroft, Hampshire, designed to make the most of its extraordinary location, with panoramic views stretching more than 20 miles across Dorset. The project replaces a derelict building with a refined, sustainable home that celebrates its landscape and setting.

As with many dream homes, the process began with finding the right site. The existing property was in poor condition, but its elevated position offered exceptional potential. Our design approach centred entirely on the site and its views, shaping a modern house that responds to its surroundings through form, orientation, and materiality.

The L-shaped layout embraces the countryside, while extensive glazing captures sunlight and frames sweeping vistas over rural Dorset. A first floor built within the roofline reduces overall height and visual bulk, improves thermal performance, and creates a series of dynamic, characterful interior spaces.

Highlands embodies our commitment to contextual, contemporary architecture in Hampshire - thoughtful design rooted in landscape, sustainability, and the joy of place.
