Located in the heart of the New Forest, this project demonstrates a substantial home extension and extensive renovation that has completely transformed an older detached property into a contemporary home fit for modern living.
The design introduces a large open-plan kitchen, dining, and lounge area, complemented by a covered external verandah, creating a bright, inviting central living space. Inside the existing home, a reorganization of bedrooms enhances functionality and circulation, while a curved staircase provides a dramatic centerpiece in the new entrance hall.
Throughout the renovation and extension, high-quality natural materials were used to ensure a sense of craftsmanship and to strengthen the connection with the surrounding landscape of the New Forest National Park. This project exemplifies how sensitive renovations and extensions in Brockenhurst can blend modern functionality with respect for traditional architecture and natural settings.
