Our clients here sought an attached annex. However, the dwelling is surrounded by trees having the protection of TPOs (tree preservation orders).

As such, an arboriculturist was employed to liaise with the local authority on a suitable ‘building site’. The area assigned was very small and separated from the house.

Our solution was to create a single bed / sitting room angled at 45 degrees to the house, overlooking the garden, and accessed via a small link containing a kitchenette

and shower room.
