More Information
We were very pleased to secure planning permission for this development because the idea of sandwiching housing into the gap between opposing terraces in this location had previously been ruled inviable, particularly in view of the fact that there is a communal footpath which provides access to all of the rear gardens.
Peveril Road
The ’trick’ was to use the communal footpath to separate two walled gardens providing private external space for two small dwellings. The arrangement was further organised to ensure privacy for both the new dwellings and existing terraces. Finally, to add security and a little fun, a gate in the wall provides access to each unit via its courtyard garden.
At the moment, only one of the units has been constructed. The next will be slightly larger.
